Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday advised Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) to provide uninterrupted power supply to citizens during the Pakistan-India World Cup match scheduled to be played on Sunday.
Earlier, keeping in view the hype of high-voltage clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, K-Electric had decided to exempt consumers of Karachi from regular load shedding of electricity.
Pakistan will take on India in their opening game of World Cup 2015 at Adelaide Oval. The match will begin at 8:30 Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
