69 suspects, 23 outlaws arrested during search operations


The Islamabad Police have arrested 69 suspects during a search operation headed by sub-divisional police officer in Islamabad in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said.

Station house officers of Golra, Ramna, Sabzi Mandi, Shehzad Town and Koral police stations along with police team conducted search in the area of Sector G-13, Sharif Abad, Irfan Abad, Sector G-10, Kachi Abadi Sector I-11/1 Mandi More, Chatta Bakhtwer, Pindorian and under construction buildings as well as plazas there. They succeeded in arresting 69 suspects who are being investigated further.

Islamabad IGP Tahir Alam Khan has said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city and he further directed all SHOs to continue it. He has also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.


Moreover, Islamabad Police arrested 23 outlaws including two proclaimed offenders from various areas of the city besides recovering 1. 350 gram hashish, mobile phones, two hand guns along with ammunition and looted items from their possession.

According to details, Sabzi Mandi Police arrested Namat Ullah and Raufur Rehman and seized 1.350 kilogrammes of hashish and one 9mm hand gun along with ammunition from their possession.

Furthermore, police team nabbed seven Afghan Nation accused namely Dil Agha, Noor Muhammad, Sardar Khan, Walli Khan, Najeeb Khan, Ghulam Nabi, Abdul Qadeer. Industrial Area Police arrested two fake cops namely Manzam and Shehbaz.

Shehzad Town Police arrested three accused namely Habib Ullah, Khan Muhammad and Sajjad Iqbal involved in illegal diesel selling. CIA Police arrested two accused Murad Ali and Arzman Ali involved in robbery and recovered mobile phone and illicit pistol along with ammunition from their possession.

Furthermore, police team arrested two proclaimed offenders from various area of the city. Islamabad SSP has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to accelerate their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
