The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered that the federal and provincial governments should not only translate Pakistani laws and upload them on an official website, but also ensure the availability of law books at subsidised prices in the markets.

A two-member bench of the SC, presided over by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, took up the case for hearing on Tuesday.

The court said in its orders that both the federal and provincial governments should compile laws in alphabetic order and implement this particular court order by February 17, 2015. Federal and provincial law ministers should present their implementation report in court. The laws should be published free of errors.
