Sarwar resigned from his post on January 29th, over statements made about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif regarding the PM’s foreign policy.
Sarwar censured the Foreign Office on the basis of President Barack Obama visiting India and not Pakistan, and deemed it as a ‘failure’ of the country’s foreign policy.
Following former PTI president Javed Hashmi’s resignation, PTI and Pakistan Peoples Party’s senior leadership offered Sarwar an invitation to join their respective parties, according to sources.
Reports add that Sarwar will make a final decision after taking his aides in UK and Scotland into confidence. The former governor would also discuss his decision with family and friends before reaching a final conclusion.
