Essential commodities and fares of public transport have witnessed record decrease, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday while addressing a meeting of Price Control Committees.
The meeting particularly reviewed reduction in public transport fares and commodities prices following recent cut in the prices of petroleum products.
Addressing via video-link, the Punjab chief minister expressed satisfaction that the government’s public welfare measures are bearing fruit.
During the meeting, he advised the authorities to take action against profiteers and hoarders creating artificial shortage of essential commodities.
