The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has retrieved 300 kanals of land in Sector E-12 after a special operation.
Heavy machinery was used during the operation. With the possession of this land, CDA has now got possession of over 1200 kanals in Sector E-12 in a short time, due to efforts of the administration, said a press release.
It may be recalled that CDA had launched Sector E-12 in 1989 but it could not secure possession due to multiple reasons.
Now the CDA administration is focusing on securing possession in all sectors so that these stalled sectors can be developed on priority to facilitate those that were allotted plots many years ago.
With the possession of 1200 kanals, the authority is in a position to construct service roads, along with develop a Markaz in Sub-Sector E-12/2.
CDA retrieved this land after successful dialogue and consultation with the local elders and Numberdars from Dherek, Mohri, Seri Siral and Dhok Chora. The locals supported the operation and fully cooperated with the CDA team. The cooperation and support of the locals will enable the CDA to get possession of land in the entire sector, and development activities in the sector would be completed.
CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal lauded the retrieval of land in Sector E-12 and directed that effective steps should be taken to initiate development work.
