In a meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Vegetable Ghee Mills Association (PYGMA), Punjab Minister for Food Bilal Yasin has announced a reduction of Rs 5 per kg in the prices of Banaspati Ghee and Oil due to substantial decrease in the prices of petroleum products. The delegation of PVGMA has assured that all brands of Banaspati Ghee and Oil will be available in the market with a reduction of Rs 5 per kg. The prices will be effective from February 9.
Yasin while appreciating the decision of PVGMA said that the government is making serious efforts to provide maximum relief to the people due to the reduction in prices of petroleum products. He said that the government will ensure to provide relief in the prices of daily use items, adding that the people will also get relief due to the decrease in the prices of Banaspati Ghee and Oil. He stressed upon traders to voluntarily reduce the prices of essential items proportionate to the decrease in the prices of petroleum products.
Commissioner Lahore Division Abdullah Khan Sumbal, Secretary Agriculture Rashid Mahmood Langrial, PVGMA General Secretary Umer Islam Khan, Arif Qasim, Tariq ULlah, Mian Ibrahim and other office-bearers attended the meeting.
