Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML-N) MPA from Faisalabad Rana Shoaib Idrees, who was accused of attacking Khurrianwala Police Station in Faisalabad and getting a suspect freed from police custody forcibly, was set free by a court on Friday as none of the eyewitnesses identified the MPA and the other suspects.
According to details, eyewitnesses told the judge that the Khurrianwala Police Station was attacked at night and they couldn’t see the faces of the attackers in dark. After these statements, Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Raja Pervez Akhtar declared Shoaib Idrees innocent and set him free.
The PML-N MPA had attacked the Khurrianwala Police Station of Faisalabad on July 19, 2014, and had gotten a murder accused freed from the police custody. The case against him was registered by the police.
