JI demands restoration of ‘unanimous Kashmir Policy’

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan General Secretary Liaquat Baloch has demanded of the Pakistani government to restore unanimous Kashmir Policy and take decisive stance over resolving the Kashmir issue, adding that the people of Kashmir should get their due right in order to exercise their right to self-determination.

He made this demand while addressing a “Kashmir Solidarity Rally” organised by JI Karachi Chapter from Jail Chowrangi to Mazar-e-Quaid on Thursday in order to express their solidarity with the people of Kashmir. A large number of participants including elderly men, youth, women and children attended the rally.

The protestors raised placards, banners and posters inscribed with slogans ‘Go-down with India’, ‘Tehreek-e-Azadi-e-Kashmir Zindabad, ‘Kashmir to become Pakistan’, ‘Islamic revolution is to come’, ‘implement UN resolutions over Kashmir issue’, ‘Kashmir is life-line of Pakistan’, ‘remove illegal seizure of India on Kashmir’ and ‘defeat will be the fortune of India’ and many others.

Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin, JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Deputy Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Javed Kasuri, Naib Ameer Osama Razi and others were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the rally, Liaquat Baloch made it clear that peace could not be restored in world without resolving the Kashmir and Palestine issues, adding that the Kashmiris should get their due right of self-determination as India has already accepted the right of Kashmiri people at the platform of United Nations.

He further said that the Muslim countries should also come forward and play their due role in resolving the Kashmir issue as per the desires of its people, as he termed the Kashmir and Palestine issues as burning ones for the Muslims. “We will continue to raise our voice at every platform on Kashmir issue till its independence,” Baloch added.

On the occasion, Liaquat Baloch said the Indian army had crossed the limits of atrocities in held Kashmir and killed over 0.5 innocent Kashmiris during 68 years. However, the Kashmiri people had never accepted the supremacy of India in the region, he added.

He further said that US President Barrack Obama had destroyed the balance in the continent with his statement during his recent visit to India in which he declared India “a strategic partner of the United States”.

He further said India did not fulfil the criteria of becoming member of the UN Security Council. Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin said ‘Jihad’ was the only solution to Kashmir issue, as India only understood the language of aggression and violence.

“By the help of Almighty Allah, we will compel India to withdraw from Kashmir,” he asserted. Syed Salahuddin further said that India had deployed its 0.8 million army in Kashmir for crushing the legitimate right of Kashmiris, adding that the people in Kashmir were enthusiastic for getting their due right despite dual standards of external powers and the United Nations.

DIFFERENT PARTIES HOLD KASHMIR RALLIES

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the Pakistan Peoples Party organised rallies on Thursday to show solidarity with Kashmiri brethren fighting for their right to self-determination and for their liberty from the Indian occupation.

The local leaders of PML-N including Raja Waqas Akram addressed the participants in front of the press club. The PPP Karachi Division general secretary and other local leaders also addressed a PPP rally at the same venue. Both the parties pledged to extend full moral and political support to the Kashmiri Mujahideen until they get freedom from India.
