A cellphone video of an Indian girl berating a man who tried to harass her on an Indigo Airlines’ flight to Bhubaneswar from Mumbai, went viral on the internet on Tuesday.

A report published on The Telegraph says that the girl chose to publically shame the man so that he does not try to harass someone again.

The male passenger was accused of trying to put his hand through the gap in the airplane seat in order to touch her.

A report on The Times of India says the video was uploaded to Youtube January 31, accompanied by a message. The girl mentioned that she ignored the harasser at first, but furiously confronted him when he tried to touch her again a second time.

“You’re asking for forgiveness. Why? Because I’m a girl? And you have the right to touch me anytime, anywhere you want to?” the girl shouted at her alleged harasser while she made a video of him hiding his face and avoiding the camera.

The message posted with the video also said “I clicked his pictures and made videos, shouted so loud that the entire plane came forward to see him! I made sure I humiliate him as much as possible because I know law will do nothing”.

The girl also mentioned in the message that she has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against the harasser whom she described as a “very rich man of Bhubaneswar”.
