The Punjab government has decided to issue mobile SIMs to more than 200 primary and middle schools in the first phase in Rawalpindi district for use in case of any emergency.
According to reports, Rawalpindi Education Department has entered into an agreement with Ufone for this purpose. The mobile SIMs will be issued in the name of concerned schools.
The Punjab government has ordered government schools in 36 districts of the province to purchase mobile SIMs and concerned EDOs have been issued necessary directions.
The SIMs would be available with the schools during the month of February, 2015.
