The Sindh police Saturday shifted two death row convicts to Karachi central jail.

The two convicts, identified as Atta and Azam, were handed capital punishment by a court for the murder of Dr Ali Raza. They are expected to be executed on February 3.

Atta and Azam were shifted to Karachi Jail from Sukkur prison on the request of their families.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lifted the ban on death sentence after the attack on Peshawar’s ArmyPublic School in which 150 people including 135 children and nine staff members were killed. Several convicts have already been sent to the gallows.

  1. Pakistan please stop this barbarous state killing. Reinstate the moratorium on the death penalty to show that ALL killing including premeditated state killing is wrong.
