Two ASWJ men among four killed in violence

As many as four persons were killed and one injured in separate incident of violence on Sunday.

A youth, Raza Ullah, 25, son of Aziz Ullah, committed suicide at his house near Clifton Centre, Block-9, Clifton. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. Rescue sources informed that he shot himself dead with his own pistol.

In another incident, a man, Akhter Hussain, 65, son of Qamar Uddin, was gunned down at his mobile shop while his son Athar Hussain, 35, was injured critically in the firing of unknown armed motorcyclists near Islam Chowk in OranngiTown. The body and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy and treatment respectively.

Police sources informed that four unknown assailants reached on two motorcycles at Islam Chowk near Jamia Masjid Farooq, and opened fire on AA Communication Center mobile shop, resultantly a person Akhter was killed and his son Athar Hussain suffered critical injuries.

The accused managed to escape from the scene. Rescue sources informed that both the victims were affiliated with Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat ASWJ. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

Yet in another incident, a newborn baby was found dead near bushes of Gulistan-e-Johar. The body was taken to Edhi Welfare Association.

Separately, another newborn baby was found dead near B Road, Street No-11 in Bihar colony. The body was shifted to Edhi Welfare Association.
