Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq on Sunday said that cruel rulers of Islamabad and sardars of Balochistan were responsible for all the vows facing the province.

Speaking at a seminar, he said no government was held accountable by any political party in the country, adding that the Islamic system could also not be implemented in the country since the creation of Pakistan. He said if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was a patriot, he must resolve the problems facing Balochistan.

Sirajul Haq said there was no dearth of resources in the country, but their unequal distribution was increasing poverty and sense of deprivation among the people. He said there was a confrontation between the oppressed and the oppressor in the country and the JI was striving to unite the workers and the downtrodden on one platform against the feudalists and the tyrants.

The JI chief said the Baloch were patriotic people and, instead of pushing them to the corner, efforts should be made to bring them closer. He said the issue of Balochistan could be resolved by taking its leadership into confidence.
