Karachi Transport Action Committee (KTAC) President Muhammad Ashraf Banglori on Sunday appreciated decline in prices of petroleum products, and appealed to the provincial government to also ensure reduction in fares.
He said Chief Minister Sind Syed Qaim Ali Shah should use his powers and issue notification for cut in public transport fares. In a statement, he said if transport mafia opposed the notification, the Sindh government would take action against them or stop supplying CNG to commercial vehicles like Punjab government had banned providing CNG supply to the commercial vehicles.
He appealed to Sindh government to immediately give benefit of decline in oil prices to people by reducing public transport fares.
