PESHAWAR-
Police on Saturday arrested as many as 565 suspected militants from different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP), a private news channel reported.
According to police sources, search operation was conducted in different areas of the province and more than 550 suspected militants were arrested.
“Weapons were also recovered from them”, the police said.
Meanwhile, security situation of 977 schools was also assessed.
It is pertinent to mention that strict security measures are part of the strategy taken in the wake of December 16 militants attack on Army Public School in Peshawar, in which around 150 people were killed, mostly children.
