LONDON-
European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has warned airline operators to exercise ‘extreme caution’ when flying over Pakistan airspace.
“EASA recommends all operators to exercise extreme caution of planning to fly into, out of, within or above Pakistan airspace and to monitor all relevant information, including NOTAMs, according to safety information bulletin (SIB).
“National aviation authorities are reporting an increased risk to flight operation safety due to potential terrorist attacks in Pakistan,” it said.
The safety bulleting came after France’s Direction Générale de L’aviation Civile (DGAC) banning French operators from flying below 24,000 feet in Lahore and Karachi airspace.
