The Supreme Court (SC) has issued notices to attorney general (AG) and the companies which have worked out assessment of land in EOBI land scam.
The court has sought reply from AG that court be told as to why no increase has been made in the pension of poor employees of EOBI.
While presiding over a three-member SC bench during the course of hearing Wednesday, Justice Mina Saqib Nisar has remarked, “EOBI money is poor employees money and no one will be allowed to practice dishonesty therein.”
The court was told at the inception of hearing that no increase has been made in the pension of the poor employees. The court was also told EOBI had sold out land but no assessment has been worked out so far.
The court while issuing notices to AG and the companies which have worked out assessment of land adjourned the hearing of the case till February 17.
