The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) observed chehlum and condolence reference of martyrs of the Army Public School Peshawar. Leaders of different political and religious parties condemned terrorism in the country and paid rich tribute to the martyrs of school.
Ghazi Salahuddin of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Najmi Alam and MPA Syed Nasir Hussain Shah of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Mehfooz Yar Khan of the Awami Muslim League, Maulana Akram Saifi of the Jamat-e-Ahle Hadith, Abdul Karim Abid of the JUI, Qari Mohammad Usman of the JUI-F, Maulana Akram Saeedi, Maulana Imran Naqshbandi and Maulana Quttubddin of the Ahl-e-Sunnat-wal-Jamaat, Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam-Sami group’s Maulana Hazrat Wali, Qari Ali-Ur-Rehman, All Pakistan Shia Action Committee’s Mirza Yousuf, Sunni Ittehad’s Sahibzada Azhar, Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussian, PLM-Q’s Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh and leaders of the PML-Q Aleem Adil Shiekh, Naeem Adil Sheikh and several other leaders attended the condolence reference at the PML-Q’s secretariat.
Women, children and party workers also participated. MQM’s Ghazi Sallauddin said the roots of terrorism were being spread in the country. He said it was the right time to get rid of the menace of terrorism from Pakistan. “We can’t forget this tragedy ever. We have to save our country collectively.”
Nasir Shah of the PPP said the people of Pakistan were very brave. He said the nation had learnt a lesson from children who were martyred in the Peshawar school attack on December 16 last year.
JUI Sindh President Qari Mohammad Usman said the nation had to show unity like it was being shown after the tragedy. “These terrorists have no religion and we can defeat them with unity.”
JUI Sindh general secretary Aslam Ghori said all people belonging to different political and religious parties were united for the sovereignty of Pakistan.
PPP Karachi’s general secretary Najmi Alam said it was a tragic incident in the history of the country. He said: “Islam is the religion of peace. Terrorists have martyred our children in the name of Islam. We will be considered a dead nation if we forget this tragedy. We have to fight against the mentality of terrorism.”
PML-Q Sindh’s leader Naeem Adil Sheikh said that the gathering proved as a nail in the coffin of terrorists. “We are a living nation and we are proud of our martyrs.”
“Our moral is high,” said PML-Q Sindh’s president Haleem Adil Sheikh. He said the leaders of different political and religious parties had shown unity. “This shows how the nation was united against terrorism.” Sheikh said the whole nation had paid a rich tribute to the martyrs of the Army Public School. “It is matchless example.” He said not only the people of Pakistan but people in different countries were grieved over the attack on school children.
Sheikh said that Pakistani nation could not forget this tragedy. “We can’t forget our martyrs.” He said though 40 days had been passed but all children of the Peshawar’s school were alive in our hearts. “They will be remembered till our last breath. These all were our own children. They were children of Pakistani nation.” The PML-Q’s leader said the biggest terrorism was the blasphemous caricatures of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
