Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has once again expressed his sheer determination to lead the country out of crises and darkness.

Talking to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif at his residence on Sunday, the prime minister said the government is fully cognizant of the problems being faced by the people and all resources are being utilised to reduce their sufferings.

He said in the given situation, those indulging in politics of protest and violence cannot be well wishers of the country. He said it was his firm resolve to strengthen national unity in the fight against terrorism and foil conspiracies of enemies of peace and stability.

He said war against terrorism was going on successfully and the way the nation is backing it, the day is not far away when terrorists would be completely eliminated and complete peace restored.

The prime minister expressed his anguish over the suspension of electricity supply to almost 80% of the country due to blasting of two power pylons by the extremists in Naseerabad and said security would be further beefed up in the volatile districts of Balochistan where gas pipelines and electricity towers were targeted.

Shahbaz briefed the prime minister about arrangements made for the security of educational institutions and implementation of the National Action Plan. He said police and security agencies were alert, conducting raids and many suspected terrorists and their abettors have been taken into custody.

He also took the prime minister into confidence about petrol crisis and ongoing development projects in the province.

The prime minister expressed his satisfaction over the steps taken by the provincial government and said no leniency be shown towards those who are not fulfilling their duties.
