889 students receive degrees at Bahria University convocation

The 11th convocation ceremony of Bahria University Karachi Campus and 6th convocation ceremony of Pakistan Navy School of Logistics were held on January 25, 2015, at BahriaUniversityKarachi Campus.

Students were also honoured with gold and silver medals for their outstanding achievements in their academic career at the convocations 2015. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah NI (M) graced the occasion with his presence and conferred degrees on the graduating students of PhD, Masters and Undergraduate programmes.

In total 889 students were graduated including 27 students of PNSL. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah NI (M) along with the Rector of Bahria University, Vice Admiral (R) Shahid Iqbal HI (M) awarded 27 gold medals and 24 silver medals to various students.

Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah NI(M) congratulated the students and their parents on their splendid success and said that the role of universities and institutions had gained significant importance to help impart the requisite education and fostering competencies to make them better and productive citizen of Pakistan. He said new endeavours undertaken by the management of BahriaUniversity with commitment and determination would yield the best results for all the stakeholders and would definitely provide competitive edge to BahriaUniversity to become the leading university of the country.

Earlier in his welcome address, Vice Admiral (R) Shahid Iqbal HI (M), RectorBahriaUniversity, said that the Higher Education was now considered and accepted as tool of economic growth. The universities have great responsibility of producing quality graduates who could contribute positively in various fields for economic growth of the country.

The Rector congratulated the students and their parents, and wished them a prosperous future. The ceremony was attended by a large number of senior naval officers, industrialists, businessmen, and parents of the graduating students.
