Twin cities’ cops arrest 23 outlaws; seize drugs, weapons

Islamabad police have arrested 11 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered a stolen car, 82 wine bottles, alcohol, 440 grams of hashish, three illegal pistols along with other ammunition and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Saturday.

According to details, Kohsar police team arrested bootlegger Sajid Massaih from Sector F-7/4 and foiled his bid of bootlegging, besides recovering 82 liquor bottles, several empty liquor bottles, three alcohol gallons along with distillation tools during a raid at a house.

A police team arrested bootlegger Irfan and recovered 20 wine bottles from him.

Moreover, CIA police arrested accused Mohaib and recovered 200 grams of hashish from him.

Golra police arrested accused Ahsan Raza and recovered one 30 bore illegal pistol along with ammunition from him. Sabzi Mandi Police arrested accused Muhammad Sohail. Shahzad Town police arrested accused Muhammad Ramzan and recovered 240 grams of hashish from his possession.

Koral police arrested two accused Waqas and Abdul Malik and recovered looted items from their possession.

Lohi Bher police arrested accused Tahir and recovered a stolen car from him whereas Barakahu police recovered two 30 bore illegal pistols along with other ammunition from the possession of arrested accused Muhammad Ashraf and Asif Mehmood. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.

Islamabad SSP has appreciated the overall performance of the police and directed all police officials to accelerate their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements.

12 NETTED IN RAWALPINDI:

In the meanwhile, Rawalpindi Police on Saturday arrested 12 lawbreakers, including a drunkard and seized 1,945 grams of charras, 19 litres of wine, a 30-bore pistol with four rounds, a 12-bore rifle with three rounds and LPG refilling gadgets from the possession of the accused.

According to a Rawalpindi police spokesman, Banni police arrested Malik Israr for having 515 grams of charras while Mukhtar was sent behind the bars for possessing 520 grams of charras. Wah Cantt police netted Zulfiqar with 550 grams of charras.

Sadiqabad police booked Ghalib on recovery of five litres of wine from his possession. Westridge police recovered 10 litres of wine from accused Mahar. Meanwhile, Taxila police arrested Habib Noor and recovered four litres of wine from his possession.

Moreover, Gungmandi police arrested a drunkard namely Ibrahim as he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Other accused were booked over possession of drugs, liquor and illegal weapons.
