TTP commander among three arrested in Balochistan

QUETTA-

Three suspected members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), including a commander were arrested from Balochistan’s Harnai district on Saturday, private media reported.

According to an intelligence official, security forces conducted a raid in Harnai and arrested the three.

He further said that security forces conducted the raid following the intelligence report of the presence of TTP militants in the area.

“Initially, the militants resisted,” the official said, adding that later more personnel were called to arrest the men.

A huge amount of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the possession of militants.

The arrested militants were being interrogated by security agencies.

Police has taken dozen of militants into custody in Zhob, Loralai, Sanjavi and other parts of Balochistan since the crackdown started after the deadly Taliban assault on Peshawar’s Army Public School on December 16, which left 150 people, including more than 130 schoolchildren dead.
