CDA continues anti-encroachment drive, gets rid of encroachments in sectors G-13, G-11, G-9, Muslim Town and Bari Imam areas
The Enforcement Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) during anti-encroachment operations in Markaz G-11, Markaz G-9, near PIMS hospital and Margalla Narial area of Bari Imam confiscated two trucks of encroached material and also demolished two illegally constructed boundary walls on CDA land.
During joint operations in different areas of Islamabad, teams of the CDA ED along with Islamabad Capital Administration (ICT) and Islamabad Police confiscated 11 trucks of encroached material.
All these operations were carried out with mutual consultation and cooperation of traders’ unions. The traders’ community have also been asked not to allow any encroachments in front of their shops and in verandas as these encroachments not only cause inconvenience to general public visiting these markets but also adversely affect business activities.
Teams of the ED, during other joint operations demolished illegally constructed rooms in Sector G-13 and Muslim Colony. ED staff also carried out operations in Sinari, Margalla Narial areas of Bari Imam and near Tarnol along the GT Road and demolished illegally constructed walls on CDA land. During an anti-encroachment operation in sector D-12, staff of the ED also demolished an illegally constructed kiosk.
CDA Member Administration and Estate Amer Ali Ahmed has directed the directorate to continue the anti-encroachment operations on daily basis without any fear or favour till the complete elimination of encroachments from Islamabad
