Sacrifices made by Pakistanis will help destroy terrorism : Punjab CM

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the sacrifices made by Pakistan in the war against terror are not comparable to anything else in the history of the world. Over 50 thousand Pakistanis have been martyred in this struggle.

This unique history has been written with the blood of soldiers from the armed forces, the police, and even the common citizens of the country. Sharif added that those who have laid down their lives in the war against terrorism are national heroes, and the nation is proud of their sacrifices.

He expressed these views while talking to a PML-N delegation. The chief minister said that brutal elements had shown the worst kind of savagery by killing innocent children in Peshawar. He said that terrorists have no religion and they do not even deserve to be called humans. He said that the progress and prosperity of the country is linked with peace as it is essential for investment, economic development, and the creation of job opportunities. He said that the time to wipe out the enemies of peace from the country has come.

Sharif said that the nation has demonstrated strength and unity against terrorists and terrorism. The joint action plan against terrorism is the voice of the 180 million people of the country. He also informed that the implementation of the national action plan against terrorism was producing results.

The chief minister further said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, along with the national leadership, has taken bold decisions to help eliminate terrorists. He said that there is no such thing as a good terrorist, and those who have killed innocent children will meet their logical end.

Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the police brutality against school children in Lahore and asked the DIG operations to produce a report on the matter. He directed that an inquiry be held over the incident and the best treatment facilities should be provided to the two injured children.

However, reports suggest that the father of one of the children has already signed  a document stating that the police had not hit his child, and he was injured elsewhere during the protest.
