All police officers are holding open courts on regular basis to solve the problems of peoples, said Deputy Inspector General of Police Doctor Haider Ashraf in an open court at Shahdra which was arranged by Superintendent of Police (SP) Asad Sarfraz Khan on Friday. On this occasion, Punjab Assembly Member Khawaja Imran Nazir, SSP Investigation Rana Ayaz Saleem, SP City Investigation Muhammad Naveed, DSP Shahdara Abid Hussain, members of peace committee and public safety committee along with other many applicants were present.
SSP Investigation Rana Ayaz Saleem said that the police have a golden opportunity to reclaim the respect it deserves, adding that by helping out citizens, police can earn goodwill from them. He said to the applicants that the SHO or Incharge Investigations will be at the open courts and will redress the grievances in real manners. We have to take people in confidence for the revival of Lahore police, he added.
Imran Nazir said that holding of open courts is a good deed of the police. He prayed for the success of the police in bringing down the crime rate and maintaining of law and order in the city.
Over thirty eight hundred applicants were entertained in open courts.
