The Lahore High Court on Thursday summoned the inquiry committee’s report regarding the recent petrol crisis in the country. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah heard the petition against the petrol shortage.

During case proceedings, plaintiff Gohar Nawaz Sindhu told the court that the petrol crisis had a negative impact on the public. However, instead of dealing with the situation the government was using ‘delay tactics’ to protect those that were responsible.

Meanwhile, the court ordered the government to submit an inquiry report but the defence lawyer sought one month’s time to submit it.

Justice Mansoor Ali rejected the request and ordered the government to submit the report by February 6, 2015.
