The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to bring an end to all commercial activities in residential area of the capital within three months.
Dismissing 23 petitions against CDA’s bylaws related to commercial activities, IHC Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddique issued a 19-page judgment.
The IHC has ordered CDA to take immediate action against commercial activities such as guest houses, restaurants, educational institutes, private clinics, beauty parlours, display centres, TV channels, showrooms and offices of government departments established in residential areas.
