Security forces on Tuesday night arrested four Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) members from the area of Khanna near Islamabad following a police raid, private media reported.
Police sources, however, didn’t reveal the identities of the terrorists.
In the wake of the recent terror activities, police carried out a raid in Rawalpindi and Islamabad following an intelligence tip-off.
According to intelligence sources, a group of terrorists from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa entered the capital to carry out a terrorist attack.
Yesterday, a suspected suicide bomber was held by the police near Rawalpindi.
According to police sources, the suspect was arrested from a bus en route to Rawalpindi from Peshawar. The terrorist has been identified as Asif who belongs to the district of Attock and is suspected to be a part of a banned organisation.
The recent raids are being carried out after the January 10 blast on outside an imambargah in Rawalpindi which killed at least eight people.
