Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting to review the status of country’s counter-terrorism National Action Plan, private media reported.
According to sources, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar will also be present on the occasion.
Moreover, federal ministers and all the heads of provincial apex committees are updating the attendants on progress made in the execution of NAP.
The prime minister was given a detailed briefing on Operation Zarb-e-Azb, Pakistan Army’s major military offensive against the Taliban terrorists holed up in North Waziristan.
Addressing the meeting, the premier stressed on implementation of National Action Plan for combating terrorism in letter and spirit, reported Radio Pakistan.
The PM directed that all state resources must be mobilised to ensure implementation on National Action Plan to root-out terrorism. He said the leadership and the nation stands united to wipe out terrorism and now terrorists will not find any hideout.
