At least five persons were killed and about two and a half dozen injured in a collision between a passenger coach and a trailer on Wednesday.
Police said the accident took place at Indus Highway in Bakshapur area of Kashmore where over a speeding trailer and passenger coach collided head-on.
As a result of accident five people died on the spot while 30 others sustained wounds. Police, rescue personnel and volunteers reached the scene of accident and started rescue operation.
The bodies and injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Kashmore where according to hospital sources condition of four wounded people was serious and it was feared that death toll could rise further.
