4 ‘terrorists’ of banned outfit nabbed

Islamabad Police arrest more than 60 suspected terrorists in a day during search operation in various areas of the federal capital, seize contraband

The security forces Wednesday arrested four suspected terrorists in a search operation in Khanna Pul precincts.

Per sources, they belong to a proscribed organization. After the arrest, they were shifted to an undisclosed location for a thorough investigation.

60 SUSPECTS NABBED:

In the meanwhile, the Islamabad Police Wednesday arrested 60 suspects during search operation in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said.

He said Station House Officers of Kohsar, Margalla, Shalimar, Raman, Golra and Tarnol Police stations conducted search in the area of Said Pur, Sector G-8, Sector F-10, Sector G-10,Sector G-13, Sector G-14,Dhoke Rehmania, Sohan and New Abadi as well as under construction buildings there. They succeeded to nab 60 suspects who are being investigated further.

CONTRABAND SEIZED:

The Islamabad Police also arrested six outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 1.20 kilogrammes of hashish, weapons, snatched cash and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.

According to details, Golra Police arrested Sher Alam Khan for having one 30 bore pistol while Ramana Police arrested Noor Islam for decanting gas in cylinders illegally.

Sabzi Mandi Police apprehended an accused Hassan and recovered snatched cash from him. Industrial Area police apprehended a fraudster, Akeel Arshad, for portraying himself as official of ETO office.

Koral Police arrested accused Qasim Khan and Alim Khan and recovered 1.20 kilogram hashish and two 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from their possession. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Furthermore Islamabad police apprehended four professional alms-seekers from various area of the city.
