“How much care has been taken administratively while expanding Islamabad?” enquired the learned judge.

A three-member bench of SC headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja took up the case for hearing Monday.
The court was told about the hurdles and encroachments erected in urban areas of Islamabad.
The court remarked that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) should inform the court about its income and expenses.
The authority should appraise the court of the rate at which it charges tax on domestic and commercial properties.
The court also called for clarification from CDA regarding the “planning” that has been worked out to control the growing population of Islamabad and as to why changes have not been made in the master plan of CDA even after a lapse of 55 years.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till January 26.
