The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has accepted the plea of federation lawyers for giving more time in connection with implementation of the court decision in federal bureaucrat’s promotion case, besides adjourning the hearing of the case indefinitely.

A single bench of the IHC led by Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kansi took up federal bureaucrat’s promotion case Monday.

Additional Attorney General (AAG) Afnan Karim Kundi and Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Fazlur Rehman Niazi filed the petition in the court taking the plea that the high court had issued orders for promoting the officers to next grade during the course of hearing of senior officers of Grade 20 and 21 promotion case and had sought implementation report within three days.

The counsels for the federation told the court that the federation has filed a petition in the Supreme Court (SC) for further filing plea in senior officer promotion case which will be fixed for hearing within a few days. Therefore, they requested that more time be given in the federal bureaucrats’ promotion case.

The court while accepting the plea of the federations’ counsels adjourned hearing of case indefinitely.
