The Islamabad Police have arrested 82 suspects during search operations in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said on Monday.
Islamabad IGP Tahir Alam Khan directed all SDPOs and SHOs to enhance patrolling as well as checking in various areas of the city and conduct search operation in slum areas, Afghan habitats, under-construction buildings, workshops, bus stands and inns.
Following his directions, SDPOs in Islamabad headed search operation in the areas of Barakahu, Shalimar, Tarnol, Noon, Koral, Golra and Ramna police stations.
They conducted search in the area of Barakahu, Shalimar, Tarnol, Noon, Koral, Golra and Ramna, Kot Hatyal, Nai Abadi, Sector F-10, Sector F-11, Dhoke Abbasi, Jangi Seyedan, Kahna Dak, Ghouri Town, Sadat Colony, Sector G-12and Kachi Abadi, especially in the under-construction buildings and plazas there.
They succeeded to nab 82 suspects who are being investigated. Islamabad SSP said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city. He directed all SHOs to continue the search operations. He has also appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and inform the police in case they notice any suspicious activity around them.
