Pope Francis began celebrating mass with millions of people in the devoutly Catholic Philippines on Sunday, in one of the world’s biggest papal gatherings.
The pope, on a five-day visit to the Philippines, began the mass at a bayside park in the nation’s capital in rainy weather that failed to deter a giant crowd from turning up.
