The police, under its ongoing drive against anti-social elements have arrested 24 outlaws including 15 gamblers besides recovering 2,345 grams of charras, 18 litres of wine, three 30 bore pistols with 11 rounds and explosives from their possession.
According to Rawalpindi Police spokesman, Bunni police netted Bakhatzada for having 1,210 grams of charras. Wah Cantt police held Riaz Hussain and recovered 615 grams charras from his posessin. Mundra police seized 520 grams charras from nabbed Tika Khan.
Rattaamral police arrested Sajid with eight litres of wine. Jatli police recovered 10 litres of wine from the possession of Akhtar. Asif, Zumarad and Asim were sent behind the bars for keeping illegal weapons while Waris Khan police booked Adil Nawaz and recovered explosives from his possession.
Meanwhile, Sadiqabad police acting on a tip off, conducted a raid in Chandni Chowk area and arrested 15 gamblers including one Muhammad Saleem.
Police recovered Rs 13,000, 11 mobile phones and other items from their possession.
