Capital Development Authority (CDA) Sanitation Directorate would start door-to-door mechanical collection of household waste from the residential sectors of Islamabad.
According to details, CDA would formally start door-to-door mechanical collection of household waste and garbage on Monday from Sector I-8/3 in the first phase.
For this purpose, specially designed vehicles would be used for and the collected waste would be scientifically disposed off at the dumping site, it was reported.
The environment friendly and modern technique would help improve the sanitation facilities in the city besides enhancing the efficiency of the Sanitation Directorate.
