Lahore Police on Thursday launched a search operation in the city amid fears of terror attack in the provincial capital.
Lahore Police apprehended 2,742 people and detained 254 suspects for interrogation, a police spokesman said.
According to the spokesman, 2,488 detainees were released after questioning.
Lahore DIG Operations has said that the search operations will be conducted on daily basis.
