NORTH WAZIRISTAN-
At leastfive militant suspects were killed and several others were injured in a US drone strike on Thursday in Shawal valley of North Waziristan.
Two missiles were fired by the drones on a house, setting it ablaze and completely destroyed.
More details and a confirmation by security/intelligence/ political administration authorities are awaited.
North Waziristan is one of the seven semi-autonomous zones of Pakistan near the Afghan border rife with militancy. Pakistan Army, in mid-June 2014, launched an indiscriminate operation against local and foreign militants in the area which continue till date.
