SHCBA on feet to challenge 21st amendment in SC

Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) on Wednesday decided to challenge 21st constitutional amendment in Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan, a private news channel reported.

According to the resolution aimed at challenging the newly-adopted amendment, the establishment of military courts is similar to adopt a parallel system of justice.

The resolution further said that the amendment violates the basic framework of the constitution and devolution of power.

It also stated that the establishment of military courts necessitated the change in basic frame work of the constitution.
