Authorities on Wednesday sealed the Islamabad office of an American non-government organisation named ‘I-Map’ upon directives of the Ministry of Interior.

The authorities ordered the Washington-based NGO to close all its offices across Pakistan within 15 days and to send back the foreign nationals working for it in Pakistan. The Ministry of Interior has also written to all the provincial governments directing them to get all the I-Map offices closed within 15 days. The letter further directed the authorities to ask all the foreigners associated with the NGO to leave Pakistan and also take an action against local employees.

The Karachi police had earlier sealed an I-Map office in November last year. The office was sealed after police discovered that the NGO was involved in digital mapping of Pakistan’s nuclear installations and other sensitive locations.

  1. They are probably trafficking in humans for the global sex industry – that is usually the side-kick for spies – apart from drug dealing…well done to the Pakistani authorities – congratulations for the effective and swift remedy – hopefully children can feel safe on the streets of Pakistan…
