5 more killed in violence

As many as five people including a police officer have been killed in different incidents of firing and violence.

According to the details, unidentified culprits in a firing incident in Lyari Kalakot killed a police officer named Abdul Hamid. According to the police, Hamid was appointed at the house of Inspector General (IG) Sindh.

Separately, a body was been found from the Lyari Baghdadi area which has not been identified yet. Moreover, a citizen was killed in a firing incident in Gaddafi Chowk of Orangi Town. Separately, a son killed his father with a dagger after the argument became aggressive. According to police, the culprit also injured his brother with the same weapon and was on the run.

On the other hand, in an encounter with the Rangers, a head of Swati group of banned outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) named Imran alias Kohistani was killed. According to the Rangers spokesperson, Kohistani was driving a large network of target killings in the city.

Separately, the Saeedabad Police killed a criminal in an operation in the Pak Colony. According to the police, he was involved in several criminals cases.

TWO INJURED IN VIOLENCE

Two persons were injured in separate violence incidents in the city on Tuesday.

A youth, Babar Mughal, 27, son of Sohail Mughal, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men near Bismillah bus stop in Korangi No 2 ½. He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical center for treatment.

In another incident, a man, Abdullah, 35, son of Younus, resident of Nazimabad area, was shot and injured by unknown gunmen near Paposh Nagar in Nazimabad. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
