Treasury member Babar Saleem put up a show during the session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Monday over being neglected in distribution of development funds.

The assembly session was presided over by Speaker Asad Qaiser.

Things took a bitter turn when government allied Awami Jamhoori Ittehad’s MPA Babar Saleem started to protest persistently during the session, alleging that the assembly was neglecting the point of unavailability of funds for development.

Saleem went and sat in front of the speaker’s dice and refused to budge. Other members of the assembly tried to shove Saleem out of the assembly and he was then eventually hauled out of the hall by the security personnel.

Saleem said that he was constantly ignored over the question of developmental funds. Members of the opposition also walked out of the assembly in support of Saleem at which point the meeting was adjourned by the speaker.
