Two people including an activist of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were killed in firing on a vehicle on Saturday.
Iqbal Division SP Zulfiqar Ahmed said that unidentified armed motorcyclists sprayed bullets on a private car in Jhang Bazaar Chowk of Faisalabad.
As a result of firing, two motorists including PML-N activist Asghar Ali alias Phola Gujjar and his friend died on the spot.
The assailants managed to flee from the scene after committing dual murder. The deceased PML-N worker was a close aide of former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah.
