PESHAWAR-
At least eight militants were killed on Friday in Dattakhel area of North Waziristan Agency(NWA) in a clash between security forces and militants, private media reported.
According to the sources, the clash started with the firing of rockets on a checkpost situated in Dattakhel. Security forces responded with retaliatory firing which killed eight militants.
Kalaya: One killed, four injured in rocket-fire on mosque
One security man was killed and at least four were injured as a mosque was hit by rockets during Friday prayers in Kalaya, the agency headquarters of Lower Orakzai Agency
An administrative official,later on, confirmed the news that the mosque was attacked with four rockets from an unknown location.
Orakzai is one of Pakistan’s seven semi-autonomous tribal regions.
The area is said be under stronghold of militants belonging to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistani(TTP) and Al Qaeda.
It was also the hideout of former TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsud before he was killed in a US drone strike in North Waziristan in 2013.
