An appeal by Imran Khan is currently on-air in Pakistani TV media to raise one billion rupees for the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Peshawar to start its functioning. According to news from the hospital sources, the construction of the building has been completed and this huge amount is required to start the treatment of cancer patients at the end of this year otherwise the patients would have to wait for more time to have access to Pakistan’s latest cancer treatment facility. It was a daunting task but the nation stood steadfast as one to build Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore. Peshawar Cancer Hospital is the need of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa keeping in mind the magnitude of cancer patients in that area.
The nation should come out again for this noble cause to help the deprived in costly cancer treatment which they cannot pay for. It would be a great blessing for the people and a satisfaction for us as individuals.
