In a surprising turn of events PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has taken to Twitter to express his displeasure with the 21st Amendment.

“Parliament cuts its nose to spite its face,” he tweeted. The move is confusing many who only a couple of days ago witnessed Zardari put the full weight of his support behind military courts during the APC meeting.

It is also interesting to note that it isn’t just the 21st Amendment that Bilawal has an issue with, apparently the young chairman is absolutely against the death penalty itself. “SZAB would have been 87 years old today had he not been the victim of judicial murder. #JustSayNoToTheDeathPenalty,” he wrote on January 5, 2015.

Rumours that the father and son are at odds with each other have been around for a while. Some sources suggest that Bilawal has not been happy with Zardari over his stringent political babysitting. However, Zardari vehemently denied the news and Bilawal tweeted a picture of them together to confirm his statements.

“There is no truth in the rumours, propagandized by our rivals, that I and Bilawal are drifting apart,” Zardari said while addressing a memorial rally held in connection with Benazir Bhutto’s seventh death anniversary on December 27, 2014.

“Sadar Zardari Kamaan hai aur Bilawal teer Salam Benazir (President Zardari is a bow and Bilawal an arrow. I salute you Benazir),” he said in a tweet.
