Six fall prey to violence in city

As many as six persons were killed and three others injured in separate incidents of violence in the city on Tuesday.

A lady, Priya, 46, and an unknown youth, aged about 22, were shot dead by unidentified armed men near Jamia Milia Madarsa near Kamran Chowrangi in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for autopsies.

Yet in another incident, a woman, Rukhsar, 30 and Ameer, 40, were shot dead while a person Jahangeer, 45, was shot and injured by unidentified gunmen near Sherpao Colony in Landhi. The bodies and the injured were shifted to JPMC for an autopsy and treatment.

Meanwhile, two brothers, Asad, 25, and Salman, 27, sons of Rasheed, were shot dead while Akram 35, was shot and injured by unknown miscreants near Golimar in Nazimabad No 3. The bodies and the injured were shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities and treatment.

Separately, a youth, Khan Wardat, 26, son of Hassan Khan, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men near Hamza Chowk in Shireen Jinnah Colony. He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.

In another incident, a youth, Asif, 22, son of Arif, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near ZMC in Orangi Town. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.

One killed, four injured in road mishaps

One person was killed and four others were injured in road mishaps in the metropolis on Tuesday.

An unidentified person, aged about 50, was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him when he was crossing the road near Shan Circle roundabout. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy.

In another incident, two youths, Waqar, 26, son of Ameen and other Ameen, 25, son of Aijaz, were injured when a vehicle hit them on the main Kashmir road. Both were shifted to JPMC for treatment.

Yet in another incident, a man, Rafiq, 70, and Fareed, 28, son of Shafi Mohammad, were injured when a vehicle hit them near Sareena Mobile Market in Shadman No 2. Both were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
