Punjab decides to extend dates for middle, matric and Intermediate exams

In the wake of nationwide efforts against terrorism, Ministry of Education and all 9 education boards in Punjab have decided to postpone the dates of primary, middle, matriculation and intermediate annual examination. A formal announcement will be made in second half of January.

According to Punjab Examination Commission, board examinations of 5th and 6th grade to be held on February 4 are now likely to take place in the last week of February. Matriculation examination, due on March 2, have been extended for two weeks. Likewise, dates of intermediate examinations have also been extended.

Decision regarding new schedule of matriculation and intermediate examination will be taken next week in a meeting of chairmen of Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Buhawalpur education boards.
